Norman McCanch - Wildlife Artist

Penduline tit, Hanson Hide Dungeness, Kent  30 October 2010  (watercolour field sketch)

Welcome to my Website

This site shows a selection of  my recent artwork.   This is predominantly field sketches and notes, reflecting my ongoing obsession with recording the natural world from direct observation. These days I have less time available for making pictures, but some of my recent work is featured here also.  More work will follow in due course, as the site is currently undergoing a metamorphosis!

Contact Information

I usually have some items of finished work available for sale and I am always happy to discuss commissions for a wide range of wildlife and countryside subjects.  I prefer initial contact to be by e-mail as I am a part-time painter and work to a busy schedule as a science teacher. For enquiries from the UK I can arrange studio visits at weekends, by prior appointment only. I sometimes exhibit at local events during the summer, generally in aid of conservation charities, please see my contact details below for any future plans.
